I love how people just throw out numbers to justify their cause. What he doesn't happen to mention is that is just a minute fraction of license holders. Best comparison I can come up with is for last year:
Active License holders for 2007: 288,909
Licenses suspended: 500
Licenses revoked: 418
So assuming that most of those supsended or revoked were for crimes, that's 918 for the year of 2007 (which is about on par of his number of 1062/year). That's 0.3% of license holders who may have commited a crime to get suspended/revoked.

People do get arrested for things such as DUI, domestic violence, disturbing the peace etc etc.
