Can't go wrong with a Marlin Model 60 (Only the most produced .22 LR rifle of all time)

Or a Ruger 10/22 (probably the most accessorizable rifle on the market, save for the AR stuff)

Or a Marlin Model 39, a certain classic

Or my personal favorite, the Browning BL-22. Once you shoot a BL-22, you'll never want another lever action. You'll be certainly spoiled with the short throw...33 degrees. And smooth. Love it!
