I just read this story on the deportation of Mexicans back to Mexico. Besides the liberal side of this article making their rightful deportation so difficult. The one thing that really stuck out to me was this.... Alejandro Fonseca was convicted on drug charges and deported last year. He now lives in Tijuana with his American wife and three U.S.-born children.They have survived by eating at the Salvation Army shelter in a rough Tijuana neighborhood near the border. But his 13-year-old daughter has missed a year of school. She cannot go to school in Mexico because she does not speak Spanish.
If a neighboring country will not cater to English speaking persons then why in the hell do we cater to them?  |
She could've stayed in the United States with the kids since they are all citizens. He's just lucky he isn't in prison. And, we're lucky not to have to pay to keep him incarcerated.
