Don't get me wrong, I wish it was Ron Paul running on top of the GOP ticket, but it was not meant to be. So we get what we get and I don't say that as a dyed in the wool Republican, I say that as a gun owner. Our only realistic hope is John McCain. He's not perfect, in fact he's the lesser of a lot of evils that we were presented with from the GOP side of the aisle, but he's not a gun grabbing socialist like Obama. Barr may get 2% of the vote, he is tracking at that rate, this election is running so close that 2% is more than enough to swing the election from McCain to Obama.
I know some people mistakenly claim to have principles and refuse to vote for McCain . . . to them I can only ask how they will explain to their grandkids what they did to cause the loss of our freedoms. |
The bottom line is that if Obama is elected, we firearm enthusiasts are going to face a direct frontal assault on our rights. McCain might not be the perfect candidate, but he's a
much better choice than Obama.
And as has been stated, if you vote for third party candidate you are helping to elect Obama.
