They could have done plenty and if it was that important or if they even recognized any problem, they could have brought something to the floor in Pelosi's first 100 days. Problem is, they were addicted to the money flowing out of the now "in crisis" companies for their campaigns. You see to think that the Dems have no responsibility in this when they are hip deep as are many of Congress on both sides are. You also seem to forget that many of these regulations were changed to allow "minorities" that had been denied to be able to get a loan, a Democrat issue, which in turn lead to the abuse of the regulations. Plenty of blame to go around if you are not wearing blinders.
