It isn't quite that easy. They get an estimate from their supplier. This they give you. If the supplier changes their date, they have to change theirs.
Very few companies (other than possible Top Glock or Botach) purposefully misleads you on delivery dates. However in our low inventory, computer controlled stock level worlds, delays happen.

Cool. Hopefully I'm just a month and a half out. Although, the speed of orders might have increased after you ordered. Probably did. :(
