The ROs can come off as being a bit brusque but look at it from their perspective of trying to keep the range safe for all and maintaining the same standards for everyone.
Everyone here can think of examples on less regulated ranges (I think there are a couple of related threads) of knuckle heads manipulating weapons while people are down range. People muzzling others. Self proclaimed experts that don't need to obey any of the 4 safety rules because they "know what they're doing." The holes in the support beams and ceilings. Etc., etc.
If you do what is asked of you (posted rules), there usually isn't much of a problem.
Between them being a bit brusque versus the old Atterbury (or the 2 indoor ranges in Indy), I'll take the new style any day.
