| Everything I've read says the rifled slugs are mostly for smoothbores. You can use them in a rifled barrell but it will lead up the rifling too quick, and you lose the advantages that you get by using the rifled barrell and sabots. Most will say that a rifled slug's furthest effective and accurate range will be no more than 100 yards. Whereas with a rifled barrell and sabots you can reach out to 200-250 yards with the right combo. Plus the rifled barrel and sabots are much more accurate than the rifled slugs and a smoothbore. |
