imp cyl is the most open choke there is on most barrels. There may be a few skeet chokes that are more open but I doubt it's enough to make any difference. About the only more open choke you can get than imp cyl is to just cut the end off the barrel for no choke at all. These are simple facts no opinions. Call remington if you want and ask them.
None of those are "undersize" they are just made to their own manufacture's specs and shot gun barrels intended for shot shells are not one single dimension from one end to the other. You can use foster slugs, the old style cheap ones, in any choke barrel but they are GENERALLY most accurate out of an improved cylinder. That is what a smooth slug barrel with rifle sights on it from the factory will actually be, imp cyl, only it has sights on it. I've never seen those junk brennekes shoot worth crap out of ANYTHING. I'll never spend another nickle to even test them.
