You say "bullets". Do you mean "cartridges"?
If you're really talking about
bullets, you could 1) stash them in a secure location for future use when you have access to reloading equipment and components, 2) use them for trading fodder, or 3) simply discard them.
If you are talking about
cartridges, surely you didn't saddle yourself with a caliber so exotic that you can't go out and "acquire" another gun in that chambering fairly easily? Especially in a wartime/occupation scenario...
