| A training school of thought I have experienced is you should be able to hit in an upper chest ring at 7 to 20 yards, but just more quickly at 7 and more slowly at 20.
Finding the right combination of hardware and speed for you is the key to accuracy.
That said, if you can get 3 upper chest or top half head shots off at 7 yards quickly, you're golden. With good control and average gear, a sub 3" groups at 7 yards should be easy with slow fire.
