| Once was a chaperone on a grade school trip to an Amish farm. We slept in the barn where there was located inside, a basketball goal. They wouldn't play outside, but had rousing games in that barn. They don't hook up to the power grid, but will have a generator to power their power tools. No phones either, but will use the pay phone down the road when thay have the need, or your cell phone. Can't say all Amish do these things, but did observe these in my case. Very nice and interesting people. |
