| I think the big Amish and Mennonite communtiy around here is in Daviess county (Odon down to Montgomery). There are a lot of nice houses through there and not a one has a utility pole in the yard.
One rumor I heard awhile back was a problem with the Amish drinking and "driving". They would get in their buggy and pass out. The horse knows the way home but the horse doesn't know to stop at stop signs. Like I said, rumor.
The Amish around here are gun owners as well. There is an Amish store (Freedom Country Store) north of Worthington on highway 67 that is also a deer and turkey check station. |
