My opinion is that if your particular handgun has the POSSIBILITY of an AD, then it's too much of a risk. Think of the repercussions if you are in public, have an AD, and hit some kid. Not only morally, but legally.
I can hear the claimant's lawyer: "And did you check to make sure the manual safety was engaged?"
YOU: "my handgun doesn't have one."
LAWYER: "Oh, you chose to carry an UNSAFE HANDGUN?!"
