The VAST majority of airline pilots over their multi-decade careers have never run a jetliner into the ground...even before computers helped out with the flight controls. I would think that the average 727 is a tad more complicated than your run of the mill semiauto pistol. Perhaps they are just getting lucky. Like the overwhelming majority of police officers and agents who carry and handle firearms every day and manage to never kill any innocent people in decades long careers. Lots of lucky ducklings out there.
And that DEA agent is hardly a professional. That seems to be quite obvious to me.
