I was thinking that maybe someone had been blackmailing her or is blackmailing her over something she did on the campaign trail. It seems the most logical explaination if this is the case. I really hope she doesn't plan to run in 2012. It wouldn't make sense that she would resign if she was going to run for an office that starts 2-3 years after she resigns.
My bet is still on blackmail of some sort.
