I've bought and sold on Gunbroker 22 times and other than one hiccup (delivery took 6 days instead of 2 when I paid extra for 2 and the seller got his shorts in a bind when I called him on it) I've had only great experiences. I don't see how you could get a "hot" gun since any firearm that demands paper has to come to you through a dealer. Like Ebay it pays to look at your sellers rating and avoid someone that has a bad rating or hasn't sold anything before. It is legal for an individual to ship but they must ship to a dealer. To hedge my bets I don't buy unless it ships from a dealer. I'm sure there is still a way to get burned but that's the case with almost anything. IMHO there are some GREAT deals on Gunbroker and you will find that the strength of the market for many items varies greatly, IE something that is worth $400 around Indy may be worth $300 in one part of the country and $500 in another. If any of you have questions on the hows and whys on Gunbroker and want to send me a PM I'll be glad to share my experience with you.
