| I was a resident of Illinois for many years, and the laws are quite simple and quite complex. Non-residents, (other than LEO's) who posses any type of firearm and most types of weapons while in the state are in violation of the law. The Peacable Journey Laws would not be applicable in this case. So unfortunately for you there is no good choice in this matter. Either leave them at home and be legal, or carry them and be safe.
