Carrying at the 5 o'clock.

The only holster I've ever carried with is my 1911 in a blackhawk serpa holster on my right hip. I'm going to pick up an xd or glock, compact or sub compact, and most likely a crossbreed supertuck. My plan (subject to change after testing) is to carry at the 5 o'clock position. My car has narrow seats and I don't like the extra width directly on my side. My question is this to those of you that carry there. Do any of you use a left handed holster so your palm faces out when you reach for your gun? Just moving my hand to reach for that postion, this feels more natural to me. Anyone have that have carried either palm in or palm out at the 5?
