| I always tell my wife and sister that you shoot for center mass (as others have said), preferably with a shotgun. When it comes to a dangerous intruder in a high stress situation, your best hope is only to stop him. Wound or kill shots are only for snipers.
Of course, that's assuming they are a threat. If someone is running out the door, don't plug them in the back. I would recommend when you hear the sound of forced entry to let them know you are there and armed. No planned speeches, just something simple like "get out of here!" maybe dashed with expletives if desired. |
