Correct, was. I used to qualify Expert on a pop-up target range (50-300m in 50m increments) with iron sights too and run a 5-minute mile. Have you heard that Toby Keith song? I ain't as good as I once was...

Fact is that I have shot my carbine only twice in the past year; Pat Rogers' course last July and Gunsite's 123 this spring. Skills deteriorate.
