Now, I am not sure if that is b/c I have a badge, but I tried to make the case that I had a carry permit since I was 18, & that the training I've gotten in the accademy & since, was no more rigorous than what I had before & that a legally armed citizen posses no threat to anyone but a "bad guy". I also pointed out that individuals w/ carry permits are the most law abiding members of society, even more than LEO's, and should be afforded the opportunity to defend themselves inside & outside of the bank. |
This is as I suspected, and the part that none of the antis (or

)will ever believe. Police officers, by virtue of pinning on that badge, attain the same mastery over firearms that Yoda did over the Force, in their minds. What? You say private citizens have a lower rate of shooting innocents AND of "wild shots"? No, that can't be true, that's just the line the NRA tells you to think."
While you addressed the rigor of your academy (and subsequent) training, minuteman, would you be willing to touch on the frequency of that subsequent training? That is, how often do you train in weapon retention, tactics, and shooting skill (and any other that you consider relevant to my question), for your police job?
Blessings,
