I am looking to buy some new stripper clips. Any suggestions on brands? They all seem the same to me but I know some have to better than others.

The ones I have I can't remember where they came from, been a long time. Mine needed a little work before they were really useable. There were a lot of small "burrs" along the edges where they were cut during manufacture. A little work wqith a very fine file and they were much better. Jim.

Blue steel work better/smoother than the parkerized imo, all will be helped by Q-Tipping some old fashion car paste wax into the channels where the case heads ride . Use a heavy coat, let dry and wipe /rub with cloth or another Q-Tip.
This isn't like waxing your car, no need to buff, just remove the majority of the wax residue.

I bought mine on Ebay, they weren't exactly cheap, just look for surplus in the title, anything new will be NC Star junk. Mine are parkerized, and rounds strip off just fine.

Do not buy new. Look for dull dark grey surplus clips.

I have 20 genuine surplus Chinese clips loaded up and 20 of the new retail ones sitting empty in the bag they came in collecting dust. The new ones are not worth the effort to make work.

I typically run an empty shell case through the clips a few times. Good info above...I had never seen it. I have about 25 I think...I use maybe 5 of them.
