![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Weak points: - They are expensive little "toys." - You certainly do not want to use them as a replacement for conventional sights. - You must practice with them to be sure not to activate them when not wanted, giving your position away. Strong points: - The dot is very bright, however not much good past 20 yards in bright sunlight. In the dark, the reflection of the dot, on interior light colored walls, illuminates the immediate area. - They take up very little extra space compared with conventional grips. - There is an on/off switch (separate from the activation buttons.) - They are an excellent dry fire practice tool, showing you exactly what happens during trigger pull. *Note* If you can justify $250ish for a set of grips, you can turn them off and forget about the laser until the odd rare time when they are irreplaceable; - Using the intimidation factor of the laser dot to possibly keep you from having to kill someone. - When you have eyesight issues such as eyeglasses missing/damaged or something in your eyes, ie blood, debris, pepper spray, etc.

![]() ![]() | crimson trace gives nra instructors a bit of a discount so that let me get a set to try. i've been looking for an answer to old, farsighted eyes. i've been working with a slide ride reddot and this laser. both have advantages. i may end up with both systems on my carry gun. more later.
