Rural King is pretty close to me, but I went with buying reloading equipment. I'll save money and shoot more.

I'd buy reloading equipment, but the school wouldn't be to keen on me setting it up in on-campus housing.

When I get out on my own, however, the big brown truck will be bringing me a big blue press.

Anymore, I reload everything centerfire that I use. The only thing I buy loaded is 22 rimfire. Will not buy even that at Walmart anymore due to their recent policy on guns and ammo. I will pay more at a locally owned store before shopping at Walmart and that includes non-gun stuff too.
Boycott WalMart!!!

My company gave me a "bonus" of sorts and the typical method is to do so with WM gift cards, else I would have certainly bought what I could at any other local shop. I'm trying to get them to drop future bonuses on Visa debit cards or anything else really, I hate WM.

~$12 for 50rds of .40 CCI Blazer isn't too terrible though. Fits the same in the BOB (love this abbreviation, btw).

I used to go to Rural King for .45 ACP, but everytime I've gone in there the past few months, they've been wiped out. This is true with both Evansville stores.

10 or 12 per box? I've never heard that before. I've never had one problem with anything I've bought there. I know others that can say the same.

Same here. I trust the WWB so much that I have 2600 rounds of it in the safe.

Wow, lots of anti-WM posts here. I understand that many are ticked at them for stopping gun sales and for the searches we discussed here recently, but I'd like to point out that we need all the places supplying that we can get. Keep in mind as well that with WM providing good (or at least better than most folks) prices on ammo, they're also keeping other folks prices lower than they would be otherwise, just to stay competitive. (If WM has WWB for $18 and Rural King has it for $21, then WM stops selling it, is not RKs price going to go up due to supply and demand?)

I'm not a WM apologist, employee, or anything like that. I just know that if we rail on and boycott stores that supply us acceptable quality stuff at reasonable prices, those stores may stop doing so and leave us with only the more expensive stuff of equally "acceptable" (as opposed to good or better) quality. Please note that I did say "acceptable quality at reasonable prices", this to exclude places like what I hear Don's is.

Blessings,
B
