BE Mike is on a distinguished road
I have used Metalform magazines for many years. I have yet to find a better mag. for a 1911 for the money. I shoot a lot and can never remember a stoppage caused by one of these mags. in several thousand rounds. I use the ones with the welded bottoms. The only downside is it takes some effort to get the follower out and in for cleaning. There are other good mags out there I'm sure.

Metalform makes a lot of the mags that have other brand names on the package.

No love for Cobra Mags?
Tripp Research, INC. 1911 Magazines

I have a couple friends who are dedicated "1911 guys" and they prefer the Cobras to anything else out there. I know some prominent trainers and 1911 gunsmiths recommend them as well.

I'm sure they're really nice, but what's the point? If your gun runs 100% with good mags that cost half as much, why spend more? If your gun doesn't work with Wilson 47D or CMC Power Mags, there is probably something wrong with the gun and using Cobra Mags or the new Wilson expensive mags is more of a band-aid than a solution.

here, here. a properly timed and tuned, in dimension (it's all about tolerances) 1911 should run fine with any milspec 7 rounder like we were issued in the military.
