 | I *NEED* Night Vision Well, I don't NEED it, but I'm looking for a nightvision monocular that can be mounted to my AR. Before my friend went to Iraq he was showing me the latest NV that was issued to him - amazing to say the least, but he said it runs around $4,000  Not sure which generation that I need to be looking for though - any suggestions? What is the best bang for the buck? Is there a good online retailer that I can order from? |

 | If you can afford it try to go Gen 3. 1 and 2 are tempting because of price but thay are not near as effective or clear in darkness Gen 1 often is real grainy. I have Gen 3 and it is really impressive even on the darkest of nights

  | NV has been on my Christmas list for many many years, but I just can't justify the cost.

| Yea it's one of those things I *needed* also but sits in the closet most of the time. I wish I had some property to hunt on, then I could use it
