![]() | Who Makes OEM Remington Scopes? Recent purchase of a Remington 700 in .223 came with a 4-12x40 scope. The scope markings are Remington but there's no indication of who the actual manufacturer is. Anyone have knowledge of this? It appears to be a decent quality scope. Thanks for the response slowhand. What was the effective range of your scope? | |

| Padawan Plinker ![]() | I have one, too, on a 700 in .223 Rem. I like the scope as well as I like the higher end Bushnell I put on my 700 Tactical/Varmint in .308 Win. But then again, I like jock itch, so don't go by me.

I only ever shot it at 100 yards, but it worked well for me out to there. We went on a put & take phesant hunt and planned on doing some coyote hunting in the morning before the binds were put out, but, well, we found this freindly little bar in town with buckets of beer and somehow we slept in until it was time to go chase birds!
