Getting night sights on my 9c

I just got a new Smith & Wesson M&P 9c a couple weeks ago. The first thing I want to do is get some night sights on this. I pretty much have decided that I am going to go with the Trijicon SA37Y sights. I can order these from OpticsPlanet for $109 which is fine but I need someone that can put them on for me.

I know the Indy 1500 is coming up again in a couple weeks; I thought I might be able to find someone there to install them but I'm not sure. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do? I have not ordered the sights yet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Nash Gunwerx

Cory is "phylodog" here on INGO. I know he hates doing XD sights, but I think he should be set up just fine for the M&P.

Shoot him a PM or email and he will get you taken care of.

I'm not sure if Cory will have a table at the upcoming 1500, but that would be an excellent meeting place to have them installed.

Or you can drive down to 465/Harding and have him install them from his cruiser.

Britton at 21st Century did my XD yesterday. There was much hammering and swearing, but they look great now!

I've installed 2-sets on Glocks with a plastic hammer and a brass drift. If you're patient and lucky enough to have a good fit without filing the sight you might be able to do it yourself.

Thanks but I just don't think I feel comfortable trying that. I did some research on the M&P forum and it seems that there is a tool that is made for sight replacement for the M&P's. It is discussed in this topic:

I don't really want to spend over $100 on a tool just to install one set of sights. I was hoping to find someone local that might have the tool that can install them for me. This is the tool I'm talking about:

I just got an e-mail from OpticsPlanet that the sights are backordered and I will have to wait up to 7 days to get them shipped now. Yuck!
