New Nitecore Extreme Flashlight

I just received my new Nitecore Extreme Flashlight today. I'm not going to post new pictures, beamshots etc. but I will link to ones that are done that are waay better than I could do.

Reviews, runtimes, beamshots

The main thing I have to say is that this thing is just stupidly small. I had the size in my mind totally wrong. I thought it would be at least double this size. But when I put in the battery, I quickly realized that 220 lumens is 220 lumens no matter what size.

That tactical strobe works very well, the bright is insanely bright, and the low is very low. You can pick anything in the middle as well. It clips on my pocket and takes up as much or less room than my full size BM griptilian. I love it.

Amazing performance for a single CR123. I bought two high quality 3.7V AW RCR123a batteries and an inexpensive Ultrafire 3.6V (2) RCR123a charger. The batteries were close to $7 each but they are good for hundreds or thousands of recharges. I'll probably get about 10 normal primary CR123s to keep in the vehicles and around the house. Then I should be good to go.

Sounds like a most excellent acquisition.

I snagged an OLight M20 "Warrior" this week. I'm pretty sure it will burn a hole through the wall if I shine it there too long. I'm not pointing it at the sky when I'm outside, because it's going to knock a jet down if I hit one with it.

How much are they? Where would you buy one? I don't have a good light like that, think it's about time I get something.

I don't think either of the lights discussed are available in b&m stores, you're going to have to order online..

I've heard good things about the warrior. My next flashlight will be a 2xCR123 or a 1x18650 about the size of a Warrior M20. A little more full-sized. This tiny little nitecore is the brightest light I've ever used.

Sorry, missed that post totally. I paid about $92 shipped. tacticalleds.com had them on backorder, and I got mine from knifeworks or knifeworx...one of the two.

wow, I never knew a flashlight review could be so technical, I usually just turn the light on, and if its bright, I like it

I have been using dorcy LED lights for a few years now, and for the price ($15-40 at meijer) they seem to do great. I keep 1 in the jeep, one on the night stand and a few others around the house.

The tactical strobe feature sounds neat though.
