New Holsters for my SIG P250

Ok. So I need to get a different gun for the purse I chose because my P250 just doesn't fit:



BUT... the new Raven holster might just work out great. I just have to:
1) Lay off the Starbucks lattes and hit the gym more often. /sigh
2) Get used to wearing a belt.

Really, where I had this sitting for the photo shoot, the weight of the gun and holster didn't really bother me much, but it also wasn't loaded. (I know, I know, unloaded pistols are just clubs.) I need to wear it a bit more to get used to it, and once I do that I'll give a better review. But in the meantime... photos!









And just for fun: Lars said, "Look determined when you do this." ... which immediately got me into a fit of giggles. So this is me looking determined to not laugh at the BG hiding in the corner of my living room window:

After today, all I have to say is at least she didn't shoot me "accidentally" while demonstrating drawing from concealed.

The Raven holster is a LOT nicer than my Peter's Custom Holster was.

How does this holster compare to the MTAC?

Do you prefer the leather over the kydex backing of the Raven?

I guess I'd say the two holsters are enough different it's not really a fair comparison. I actually really like all Kydex holsters. The draw is smooth and fast, and reholstering is also smooth and fast.

The leather backing on the MTAC make the draw a bit slower, and you have to pay a bit more attention to reholstering as the slide guard isn't as stiff it can fold over the opening a little.

The MTAC allows me to tuck my shirt in like I would if I wasn't wearing a holster at all. That's very nice. The leather on the MTAC is more comfortable for me, but only by a small amount.

The Raven Holster can be used IWB or on the belt. When on the belt there are two or three different kinds of clips you can use to adjust how tight it holds the pistol to your side. All in all I'm pretty sure I'll end up with one of each for the P30.

So the damn purse is too small! I kinda wondered....

But the holster looks like it really fits well on you! I think when you start carrying that way you'll get used to it. Or at least it won't be as annoying.

If we take the internal "holster" out of the purse the P250 fits, upside down....

I suspect if I turn the internal holster over it'll work also....

That purse was probably made more for a smaller revolver or something of similar size.

I was looking at the same setup in a Raven holster for my M&P, was looking at the loops you got or set of kydex clips. I may order from the web store later. Seemed like very well made gear.

I'm very happy with my Raven holster. Be prepared for it to take a while from the web store. 2-3 weeks.

What? You don't have a good gun belt?
