My Mark 4's are 25x and a 14x. If I could do it all over again I would have bought two 14x's. I've never needed the 25x even when shooting 1000 yards in a class.

So the only downside (aside from increased price) of the higher magnifcation scopes in the increased mirage, but that can be negated when it is an issue by simply backing of magnifcation. And the 25x+ stuff may be over kill, but it isn't going to hurt anything either? That's basically what I'm picking up right now.

There may be less wind/elevation available in the higher powered scopes. You'd have to check the specs.
It's normally not an issue with wind and angled rails are available to help with any elevation issues you might have.

I'll look into the specs on the Mark IVs and the NXS scopes and compare the adjustments available and think a bit from there.

I just looked them up, so aside from being 1/3rd the price, why do your recommend it? It's hard to believe that nothing is given up in that grand.

Ive heard alot of good thing out of the Super Sniper scopes, which is why I am going to get one.

super snipers are nice, but dont even come close to comparing to a nightforce. or leupy mk4
