Since I have been posting about these mags for the last year I figured it would only be fair to post a quasi review. I don't even have a rifle that uses these, however they are nearly everything I wanted in a mag. I wanted something for .308, polymer, and any color as long as it was black.

I got my AIM shipment today from the UPS man. Man was I happy.
The packaging is different from other PMAGS (Ziplock bag)

They feel robust and VERY light compared to M1A mags of the same capacity. The dust cover is freaking hell to get off right now, but I figure it will loosen up later.

And now for my concern. These are supposed to take longer ammo for the .308 rifles. This is what I found. This is a Pakastani round I think. Mil surp none the less.

There is MAYBE 2mm of clearance with the milsurp ammo with a 147gr projectile. So now I need to know what most people's OAL is for their long range rounds. So, does anyone have any input?

Hmm, my two cents. You probably won't load past 2.800 for a M1A. Converting you mm measurement to inches you have 2.788 close to max but I doubt you would load longer for semi auto. I could be wrong, My AR10 and M1a 168 grain smk's are loaded to 2.750.
For my Bolt gun they are longer though 2.825 COL
your not going to run to the lands on semi auto.
So I Think these mags would run fine for this.
I don't know if that is the kind of feedback you are looking for
if you need some one to test these in an M1A I can help :)

2.810" is where 168 Matchkings shoot great for me.
I'll have to measure the magazine length in my brother's AICS mags for a comparison.

How about hitting your sae/metric button.

The 20 LR mags that I've received thus far will feed 358 Winchester.

Looks I'll I'll be chambering and fitting a 358 barrel shortly.

That will be a lot of power in a fairly lightweight 16-18" barrel.

My LR308 likes 175 SMK's loaded out to 2.815 OAL so these wouldn't work for me unfortunately but neither will the factory DPMS mags. I've got 5 of the SR25 mags which are the only mags I've found that work and they don't leave much clearance.

Thanks for the review and for saving me a few bucks! It's a bummer though, would have been nice to pick up some mags that don't cost me $100+ each.

Funny, I hadn't even tried a 308 in them yet.

My 168g Nosler C/C loads at 1.795" have .020" +/- clearance to the front of the magazine.

If the meplat was trimmed up on them, it would be .030"+.
