Why are CCI stingers such a good ammo? I noticed that they are 36 grain and have a high fps. I thought the higher the grain the faster it should be but I noticed other ammo that is 40 grain and not as fast. This is for 22 caliber.
    Thanks,
    Dave

If you are talking about power grains, then yes the higher the grain the higher the velocity.

However, when you buy ammo the grain that is reverenced is the bullet weight not powder. Heavier bulled=slower velocity.
