I've been buying/getting into different 308 win match ammo to test out on my 700. In my search I came across Gorilla Ammunition and decided to give their .308 175gr Sierra MK a try despite the hefty price tag because of the good things I read. I've also bought some Hornady 168 & 178 HPBT and Federal 168 Sierra MK.

At first glance the Gorilla ammo looks like I spent $20 instead of $34, or I guess not what I was expecting. The tips of the hollow points seemed to be a little off as well. Some of the tips of the hollow points seemed to be filled in and a little crushed, and it is rather inconsistent. Now I'm no ammo expert but I've never seen a hollow point like this. Even the Federals with the Sierra MK all look to be hollow.

So question is, does anyone have any experience with the ammo? Or maybe give a few pointers on what to look for in match ammo in 308.
