Los Angeles Dodgers Purchased by Magic Johnson

The Magic Johnson Group has purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers for $2 billion! Hopefully the investment will pay off for them. I wonder how much an NFL team would be worth if a MLB can go for that price?

To say that Johnson was a major player in the deal is marketing. His only real contribution was his name.

Perhaps the Johnson group is getting financial advice from Tim Geitner, Congress, and the CBO.

$2 Billion, over the course of 10 years, rounded down for inflation, divided by pi, triplicated, copied, lost in a file for a year, found, voted on and passed by Congress prior to anyone actually reading the contract. Hell, that means it will only cost them $37.29.
