Apparently yes. So she says in her just completed, yet to be released auto-biography. She was 22 in 1978, Ford was 36.

I just read that she'd already completed the next installment of Star Wars movies--due out sometime next year I think.

That will be bittersweet to watch, as Fisher brought Leia to life and helped make the whole franchise a huge success.

Have to admit that I actually liked her almost as much in Blues Brothers though! Great actress, and she most certainly will be missed.
