I'm not sure I agree with the list completely but found it an interesting read none the less.
I think I would have put a breaded tenderloin on the list instead of the Sugar Cream pie, I do like me some Sugar Cream though.

I have done all but attended the State Fair. Not a big fan of fairs.

Here is the link to the list. How to become an Official Hoosier in 7 Steps

Tenderloin sandwiches are not on the list. If anything is Hoosier, that is it.

I got 6 of 7. Never been to the dunes.

Seems like playing Euchre and baling hay should be added to the list.

I've lived in Indiana 45 years and never even heard of a sugar cream pie??? I've done all the others though. Now if I have to shoot a gun "proficiently" that's a different story. Been doing that over 40 years and haven't mastered it yet.

4/7...and I'm not sure the "Learn to shoot a gun" one ounts because I learned to do that while living in Michigan.

...and legally speaking, you cam be a legal Indiana resident without ever going to the BMV.

Still haven't made it to the dunes. I've been to Pole Day for the 500, and I've been to the 400 and the Museum. So does that give me a 5.63/7? Also, the person who made the list must not be a Hoosier, because, as stated, no tenderloin sammich. And I agree with the euchre statement as well.

For you non-sugar cream pie people, you need to fix yourselves.

C'mon man. You can't post a fullsize picture of an amazing tenderloin like that. Now I'm going to have to make some.

It's difficult to find a true hand breaded tenderloin in Elkhart and not some frozen pork fritter they are trying to pawn off as a breaded tenderloin.

    Kind of...
Sugar Creme pie is not very high up on my list of favorites, but I have tried it.
    Never been to the Dunes.
    Now I want to go.

And I agree that tenderloins should be on the list.

Me neither. Replace with persimmon pudding.

This. Best when you've gathered and pulped the persimmons yourself. Used to do this as a kid--also got to go into wild berry patches and pick gallons of blackberries (OMG, the chiggers!!!)--and my mom made the most amazing pies and cobblers...

Bonus round: How many have tried gooseberry cobbler???
