Any Aprilia owners here? Any issues with not having a dealer in state?

I'm considering a V4 Tuono, but I'm not thrilled about having to drive to MI or OH if it ever needs work that exceeds my skill level. I do OK with mechanical work, but when it comes to electronics, I leave it to the shop.

    Not far from the tree
My Boss has one but I have no idea where he has work done. I'm old and out of the rice rocket business. My last bike was a 1987 GSXR 1100. Sold it in '89 after my first son came into the world.

If you're on talking terms, perhaps you could ask him where he has work done. And your son is old enough now; you can pick up a new GSXR. :D

AF1 (in Texas) is the go-to for parts, but I'm pretty sure Matt Carr at Indy Ducati isn't scared to work on them. They really aren't that different.

Thanks, brother. If I buy new, AF1 is my first choice. I'll keep Matt Carr in mind.

They can actually be ridden at lower speeds......

    -rvb (former R1 owner)

naaaa, now what's the fun in that?

Yep, if you want to go slow and hinder moving traffic, get a bicycle...

    ...or a Harley. ;)JK

    here now, be nice....
Did not know that we did not have an Aprilia dealer in Indiana. I hear there is a Moto Guzzi dealer just across the Illinois line. Can't wait for better riding weather.....sigh.

This. I've bought a couple bikes from them recently (Hypermotard and Streetfighter S). They are always up front and under promise and over deliver on the maintenance side from my experience. I remember them saying that they work on all manufacturers I believe.
