Allen, There is a company in Indy called GRT, you may have done talked to them. I asked my glass buddy and that is who he said could probably do it.....may be salty though.

I'll just throw it out there, but my buddy prints laser cut vinyl decals, removes the decal from the vinyl and applies the "outside" part to glass, masks it off and sand blasts it. Makes all kinds of stuff that way.

I have etched glass. Actually made a monogrammed set of drinking glasses for someones wedding gift. I covered the glasses with several layers of carefully laid masking tape and carved the image with an exacto knife. I then sandblasted with fine grain black beauty grit. The mask is pretty labor intensive, the blast is quick.

4 weeks later. It was a big repair.
Turned out all the glass companies wanted me to bring my own art work. So I figured if I had the art work I might as well do it my self. My first attempt and widow frosting.

    Not far from the tree
I've seen it done with the design scratched in paraffin then hydroflouric acid poured on the bare places. I appear to be a little late to the thread though.

    Looks like good work, Allen.

And be careful frosting those widows.:):
