Two years ago I took an old pitcher out of a pile of dishes for goodwill and have been using it to refill the bird feeders. I've tossed it around thinking it was a 5 dollar glass pitcher. Its been in a old metal trash can full of seed for all this time.

Two years ago my wife thought she lost her 550 dollar pitcher when she was giving glass wear to goodwill and never told me....

Today I brought it in to wash off two years of grime and she spotted it on the counter.

She is mad and at the same time she is happy it was not lost.......

its been awhile, anything interesting happen in the last month?......I would love to share all the crap I have had to deal with, but will just move on like I was not even gone

My wifes grandma had a hideous orange glass vase that she claimed was Very old and worth a fortune. When the old woman died, my wife was the lucky recipient of said hideous orange glass vase, so I decided to look it up on the internet and see if it was actually worth anything. Nope, it wasn't old, and wasn't worth anything. We had a good laugh, and now that hideous orange glass piece of crap sits atop a shelf with some nicer jars and glassware. I really wanted that thing to be worth something so we could sell it and never have to look at it again.

So wait, she's mad at you for taking a pitcher out of a box that she put in there to take to goodwill? I'd reverse it and be mad she was going to donate a $550 vase.

Come on! After something like that, displaying it is PERFECT. It goes from a treasure to a running joke. (which is just as valuable) Mrs Monkey and I have the verbal version of this and its awesome. Display that awesomeness and tell the story whenever you can.
