I was looking to buy some desiccant packs for awhile and decided to make my own (beef jerky was taking a toll on the pocketbook). I found a site online that was exactly what I was doing.
Make Your Own Desiccant Packs and Save!
$6 bought me enough to make 100 packs and there's enough desiccant to make a good couple hundred more.
Items needed:
1 - 1 1/2 lb bag of Damp-Rid desiccant gel - $4 at Lowe's
1 - 100 pack of Great Value tea bags - $2 at Walmart
1 - Stapler w/ staples
1 - Spoon
1. Cut the tea bags across the top and dump out the tea.
2. Use a spoon and dump some desiccant into the empty tea bag.
3. Staple shut.
Pretty darn easy and enough packs to give some to your friends. I'm sure there are other ways to do it but I found this pretty easy and cheap.
I hope this helps at least one person.
Haha... I said tea bag.
