Tough times ahead...

Well guys, Murphy has reared his ugly little head once again...

My wife Mandy (BersaGirl on the forums), has been laid off from her job with no foreseeable chance of recall. She has worked for her Father's fence company for the last six years, and they are on the brink of closing their doors forever. This couldn't have come at a worse time, for obvious and not-so-obvious reasons.

The good thing, is I'm still employed and I carry the insurance. So, if we have any medical needs, we're still covered. But, it's going to be very tight until she can A) find another job or B) I lose enough weight to re-enlist.

So, if anyone knows of any openings, or would be willing to offer her an interview for a job... feel free to send her or myself a PM. Thanks in advance!

I wish you the best of luck on both A and B. There are few jobs up here between Kokomo and Lafayette. With long lines at both.

My family is looking at going back to active duty.

Well, I was National Guard... so I've never technically been "Active Duty". It'll be a new experience for me. I have about 90 lbs to lose... so it's not going to be an easy road.

sorry to hear about the job issue.

It made me chuckle a bit when you didnt mention anything about loosing more weight to solve the problem, but that you hope she finds a job in a hurry.

If any of you know of any places that are in need of someone with 10 years plus of customer service, clerical, receptionist, office-administration, data entry experience, please drop me or Silent Warrior a line. I've got some interviews I'm waiting to hear back on and filed for unemployment, but it never hurts to look everywhere possible.

Sorry to hear of your family misfortune. Hang in there, at least one would think that there would be a few job openings in the Plainfield area.

Be sure to sign up with Work One, the state is planning on a big build , if they get the funds to rebuild after the floods..

Hey guys! Sorry to hear about the problems. Pitney Bowes is currently hiring for their call center as far as I know. That's here in Plainfield where Natalie works. Might look it up. Natalie could give you the info. She'll be home about 1730-1800 if you want to call and get the info.

My family is looking at going back to active duty. __________________ There are a couple of things to remember about Soldiers. Generally they are Polite, Professional, and Prepared to kill everything.
