Not only it's sexist but it's also usually a lie. :):
When im working I dont need a sign next to me saying that im working.
Usually the men next to the sign dont work that much.

You sign should be "people at work, or not".

So..how long until the "corrected" sign is put up, followed by the inevitable duct-tape over certain words in order to make the sign even more offensive?

I wonder how much longer before they are forced to have it not only in English but as least Spanish as well?

You forgot Arabic and Chinese! We can't discriminate and engage in profiling (just ask the TSA as they scrutinize octogenarians in wheelchairs) and the Chinese will certainly demand a certain amount of deference for their financial considerations.

I can tell you from my current job in transportation that there is a slow shift to changing those signs but the cost to replace all of them is massive and would require a lot of taxpayers money.

Seriously, what a waste of time & money. I can see this being an issue if several of the workers were women but even so, who cares about a stupid sign? The women would have an excuse not to work since they weren't included on the sign.

Or perhaps here's a new sign idea.

    Men working

    Women Supervising

The curse of a gender-neutral English pronoun strikes again.

Seriously, was it that bad to use "men" as the generic catchall term?
