What will you be doing this 4th of July

i will wake up and have breakfast and start my day by watching movies till mid afternoon. movies like saving private ryan, wind talkers, American soldie. and an American Carol. then after that i will have be getting ready for the BBQ later in the evening and then if i still have some daylight let i will let the sounds of freedom ring in my back yard, and then start the bbq. after all of that then ts time to setoof some fireworks and tracers.

what are you plans for celebrating our INDEPENDENCE DAY

Meet up with the family in Linton, may or may not make the parade. Have lunch at aunt and uncles place. If the weather is ok try to play 18 at Phil Harris. Later on have supper at a friends house then watch the firework show in Linton.

Going to St Louis to visit the gardens and zoo. Going to spend the 4th eating and staying out of trouble. Watch the fireworks through the arch...

Making it a point to only reference it as "Independence Day" or "Independence Weekend".

I can't stand the dumbing down our of Holidays. Be it "4th of July" or "holiday weekend".

I'll also be open carrying everywhere I go, including parades and fireworks.

I thought that July 4th was designated Open Carry Day by some national OC group. I know that last year I OC'd all day long. Led to a few conversations on Indiana gun law with extended family members. This year I will be working all weekend, but will be OC'ing when not sleeping or working.

If my rotund buttock (PC way of saying Fat ***, trying to watch my mouth) can find a Good Inexpensive belt by then I will be OC all day. Should really mess with my SIL's head since she is coming over from the Commie State Of Illinois. I too will be attending a parade and fireworks on this Independence Day and will proudly exercise my 2nd A rights.

Anybody in NW IN know where they sell Good Fat Guy Belts?? Need one for OC mine won't cut it tried yesterday and it sags and not only looks stupid but is very uncomfortable.
