Officer Matthew Cook was injured during the arrest about 12:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Bacon Street, according to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. When the police officer tried to arrest a man for disorderly conduct after a loud argument in which a woman was barely missed by a car, the man kicked Cook in the head. Another policeman used pepper spray to subdue the man. The police officer was not seriously injured, according to the report. |
