Let's be honest here. Every discussion of communism ends with you mocking it, or trying to refute it in some way. I get eye-rolls from you like they are going out of style. I get it. This is a sensitive topic. Can you tell me why? Am I supposed to be sensitive about not offending people with my rejection of this creepy ballcap? I'm trying to think of some rational categories that might be able to explain where your reactions are coming from. If it is something else please let me know. a) You think that communism is not real. Right-wingers made it up to perpetuate a war against the Soviets.

b) You think that communism is real, but totally irrelevant. Mentioning it will cause you to define McCarthyism.

c) You think that people have revised history to unfairly give communism a bad reputation. The mass-murder is a lie.

d) You think that communism could never take place in America. Our politicians would never do that to us.

e) You don't believe politicians have any goal aside from what they tell us is their goal. (You don't believe in any conspiracy theories, period).

f) You think politicians can make foolish decisions, but the concept of "taking away our liberty" is out of the question. Impossible. Paranoia. Tin foil.

g) You think that communism is compatible with the Constitution. No big deal, its just another viewpoint. No danger at all.

h) You think that people promoting communism exist, but they are just trying to be different and/or sell products. They are harmless.

i) You think that people promoting communism do not exist. Photo-shopping an image, editing a soundbite, or altering a video is the only explanation.

j) You think that the communist ideology died a long time ago. Talking about communism today calls for some serious teasing.

k) You've been accused of being a "commie" and it ticked you off. Now your quest to refute any discussion about communism. The word has lost all meaning to you.

l) You think that communism, if implemented properly, could be a good form of government. Naysayers must be eyerolled.

m) Its not the communism that bothers you, but the accusations. You want cold, hard facts. Without the Hammer & Sickle Baseball cap in your hands, you will not accept this thread.

n) You have a relationship with Adidas, and the Rockefellers, and the Environmentalist movement, and any other recent subject of scrutiny. Defending them is personal, not necessarily that I was wrong.

o) My delivery bothers you. I should be more sensitive to progressives & liberals. Muddling thier ideologies with communism is unfair.

Was the man wrong, or was it distasteful that McCarthy named names, years before it could be proven that those individuals were actually agents of a foreign government? As I understand it, in the 1990's soviet cables were finally declassified, and McCarthy's name was vindicated after 40 years of mockery by the Left. Long after their deaths, McCarthy was found to be correct.

This is my reaction to their choices as a company. I'd say the same thing about a major retailer selling Swastika baseball hats. To those of us who know a little 20th century history, the Hammer & Sickle are no better than the Swastika. Nazis and Communists share most of the same totalitarian roots, after all. And the Soviets actually committed more atrocities than the Nazis. The discussion of how difficult it is to find items made in America is another topic completely.

Actually..."M" and the first sentence in "O" are the only parts of your post that accurately reflect my disagreements with your posts concerning communism.

What creepy ball cap? The photoshopped image you posted here? There is no Adidas commie ball cap. It's a figment of someone's imagination that you felt the need to pass along. Show me a link to purchase one and I'll admit Adidas is a company ran by communist CEO's and aid you in boycotting the company.

But the truth is...the cap doesn't exist. Yet you feel the need to post these untruths here. Can you tell me why? Was the image produced as a joke? Or as an advertising scheme by Adidas' competition?

I would think that there are enough examples of true communism going on in this country that you could actually fill a web site with them without smearing the names or actions of innocent people, organizations and companies merely because you disagree with them or because you saw it or read it on some fanatical web site.

I'm a person that deals with facts. Show me those facts or it's merely conjecture and opinion on your part. McCarthyism and fear-mongering...with no facts to back up your accusations.

Remember...it's just the internet...and there is probably nothing you can't find here to back up your claim...
