![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It all started with a scratchy throat about 3 days ago, well overnight I was taken to the ER due to having developed extreme difficulty breathing, with my airway being blocked by alot of thick mucus I could not cough up. Turns out it is H1N1. I have never been more sick in my life. And my throat feels like there is sand paper in it. Has anyone on the fourm had this yet... If so what did you do about your sore throat and other symptoms. Please help me out I feel like I'm heading down the tunnel going toward the light. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had it two weeks ago. My physician put me on a Z-pack (Azithromyacin - sp?). That helped clear up the chest congestion. For the rest I took Dayquil / Nyquil to treat the sore throat and cough, as well as help me rest at night. Sleeping/resting is key, as that is a major opportunity for the body to heal. That, and a healthy amount of OJ and Gatorade to get vitamin C and stay hydrated. Oh, and I also went out shooting about 5 days in (once I was starting to feel a bit better). Combination of Vitamin D from the Sunlight, fresh air, and the smell of gun powder seemed to help too. ![]() I still have a bit of a cough from time to time, which is common, but I survived.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've got something too, not sure if its the flu or not because normally the flu doesn't really bother me (that or I haven't got the flu in the last decade or more). I started getting a sore throat Sunday night, but yesterday morning when I woke up it was terrible. It was a little difficult to breath, but not too hard, so I stuck it out, drank some water, took some vitamins etc. Stayed home and got lots of rest, I feel much better today. Vitamins and lots of water are the key. |
