nope, but you shouldn't click on anything in the pop up window; that will often give you the virus/spyware/malware that you don't want. Close it with task manager.

Are you getting alerts at any other site? There is some malware out there that looks like a anti-virus program, and it's obnoxious. I'll second the request for screen shots.

It's annoying to the n'th degree. I will say, however, that it's amuzing when my Norton catches the faux Norton.

    I can't figure it out.

A yellow shield "updates ready to install"
Another four colored shield says Windows Security Alerts
Another four colored shield says AntiMalware
and then every couple minutes a pop up comes up with some kind of virus warning and asks if I want protection enabled.
Doesn't seem to matter if I say yes, no, or maybe or anything else.

Doing some kind of anti malware install I can't seem to stop

    In the PRK now =(
Sounds like pop ups that emulate security software..don't click on them. Run a complete scan of your computer with YOUR anti-virus and anti-spyware malware programs

Didn't see your second post there- Ya your infected already

that sure sounds like fake anti-malware that's the product of a trojan or something.

What worked for me was getting Avast! Just google it. I turned off Norton and all of the other cruft and just installed Avast!. It ran through a scan - found a few things. Then I use either Google Chrome or Firefox for a browser and voila... problem gone.

    Good luck with it
