   | Empire Carpet My wife and I are looking into replacing the carpet in our living room and putting ceramic tile in the kitchen. Does anybody have experience with Empire? Good or bad I'd like to hear before I start making phone calls.

| i looked into them for wood flooring and carpeting and they were really really expensive, and had a rather small selection of choices. maybe its different depending on the area, but i would not recommend them.

| Our neighbors called them to come out and wouldn't use them because of their prices. I guess they were very expensive. It was a ridiculous amount of money they wanted. I just wish I could remember the dollar amount.

| The reason for the limited selection is part of their hook is Buy Today, Install Tomorrow and they bring the samples to your house. I'm sure that if you shop around for selection and install prices you can find cheaper but if you are looking for a convenience factor. We did the ceramic tile ourselves and shopped around for the carpet & install. I didn't call them because I live in the boonies and it was a very small carpet job. Even Lowe's has installation available.
